Who We Are :

We’re Kris and Brett — the hands, hearts and hard work behind Quiet Paws Creations & Streetcat Rescue.

Quiet Paws began quite simply. We became increasingly aware of the number of vulnerable, abandoned and unwanted cats living on the streets around us, and we found ourselves unable to walk away when one needed help.

What started with helping individual cats gradually grew into ongoing rescue work. Today, our work includes trapping, desexing, feeding, providing care and recovery, and giving cats who have nowhere else to turn a safer chance.

A big part of what we do is Trap–Neuter–Return (TNR). Where a street cat is not suitable for rehoming, we work to have them safely trapped, desexed and health-checked before returning them to the territory they know. Where a cat is socialised, or can become socialised, we work towards finding them a suitable forever home instead.

For us, TNR isn’t about encouraging more cats to live on the streets. Quite the opposite. Desexing is one of the most important ways we can prevent more kittens being born into an already difficult life. It helps break the cycle of endless breeding, reduces the number of unwanted cats over time, and means fewer kittens face hunger, illness, injury and the dangers of life on the street.

We believe every cat deserves to be treated with compassion, while also recognising that not every cat can be placed in a home. Our aim is practical and simple: to reduce suffering, prevent unwanted litters, help the cats we can, and give each one the best chance possible.

We’re only a very small, independent rescue, but we do what we can, one cat at a time.

Quiet Paws Creations is entirely self-funded, supported through our own time, resources, and ongoing effort. Kris has also developed her canvas and digital art as a way to help contribute toward sustaining this work in a more balanced and ongoing way.

If you would like to support what we do, any contribution, large or small, goes directly toward food, trapping and desexing costs, veterinary care, and the materials needed to provide safe shelters and recovery spaces for vulnerable cats.
